WHAT'S THE WHY?
MY MISSION
The Wildlife Studios is more than just art; it’s a movement.
I believe creativity has the power to inspire change, and through my work, I strive to connect people with the beauty of the natural world. Every piece I create carries a message of appreciation, reminding us of the importance of protecting wildlife and wild spaces.
We must champion the impact of responsible purchases, encouraging individuals and businesses to support ethical, sustainable choices that make a real difference.
As a long term mission, I plan to use the profits raised through the sale of my artwork to purchase and rewild parcels of land throughout the UK.

MEET THE ARTIST
(Michael Turley)
I grew up by the Medway River, where driftwood from its banks became my first canvases. 'Fire' was my tool for over a decade, shaping portraits in wood through pyrography.
In 2013, with a complete change in materials, my ice sculpture on global warming earned the Ralph Steadman Award.
Since then, my work has travelled with the voices of change, creating artwork for environmental causes with musicians like Xavier Rudd and Nahko Bear to campaigns like Save The Kimberleys, Survival International and the Pakistan Flood Appeal.
Now, as biodiversity collapse accelerates, my focus has sharpened to create art that doesn’t just admire nature, but helps defend it. Each piece is a celebration of the wild beauty and a call to remember what’s at stake before it slips away.
MY HEROES
Meet Eileen and Brian, my grandparents. They’re the ones who got me hooked on nature from a young age. Some of my earliest memories are of wandering the countryside with them, getting muddy boots and pockets full of leaves and stones. I’d sit for ages watching the foxes play in their garden, or crouch in my grandad’s greenhouse, fascinated by spiders spinning their webs, wondering how they knew exactly what to do.
Looking back, I realise they are the ones who sparked my curiosity about the wild, weird, and wonderful world around us.
It was through these simple yet profound moments that my curiosity for the natural world was ignited. Their love for nature shaped the way I see the world today, teaching me to slow down, observe, and marvel at the incredible life that surrounds us.
I cannot thank them enough!
