MY CREATIVE PROCESS
EXPLORING
As I start my art journey, I first venture out into nature for inspiration. I soak in the wildlife, interesting textures, and natural colours to see what ignites my creativity. Being in these stunning outdoor settings truly gets my imagination going. It’s an ideal way to connect my artistic vision!

ILLUSTRATION
Once I have an idea in my mind, I head to the studio to sketch it out. It may go through several iterations before settling on the final design. I then draw the final piece onto paper using fine line pen and ink. This will then be scanned/photographed, and prepared to go digital.
ADDING COLOUR
After scanning and preparing the artwork, I use Affinity Photo to digitally ink the artwork. This is done by hand using a wacom design tablet and stylus, creating a colour palette inspired by the natural environment native to the art subject being portrayed.

SUSTAINABLE PRINTS
The final piece is then ready to print as a limited edition museum quality Giclée print, using a printing service that is 100% end-to-end carbon neutral. They are printed on Ilford Cotton rag paper which is made from recycled cloth, a more eco-friendly alternative to traditional paper. Highly textured and heavy weight, it compliments the natural vibe of the artwork perfectly.
